Asa Local Government Area, situated in Kwara State in North-Central Nigeria, has its headquarters in the city of Afon. This LGA encompasses several towns and villages, including Ogbondoroko, Afon, Laduba, Aboto, Balah, Eyenkorin, Pampo, Ogele, and Olowokere.
Asa covers a total area of 1,286 square kilometers and a population of 126,435 as of the 2006 census.
The predominant religions in Asa LGA are Islam and Christianity, and the area is ethnically diverse, with significant populations of Yoruba, Hausa, and Fulani people. Asa LGA also hosts various cultural festivals, such as the Afon Fish Festival and the Egungun Festival.
