Edu Local Government is in Kwara State, North Central Nigeria with the headquarters of the LGA domiciled in the town of Lafiagi. It shares boundaries with Ifelodun to the south, Pategi to the east, and the River Niger and Niger State to the north.
Edu LGA covers an area of 2,542 square kilometers and has a population of 201,469 according to the 2006 census. The primary languages spoken here are Nupe, Hausa, and Yoruba.
