The Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has expressed his pleasure at the international recognition given to the Ilorin Emirate’s annual durbar by the global community and multinational organisations.
The Ilorin annual durbar is held on the second day of the Eid-el-Kabir festival.
The emir made his remarks in Ilorin while receiving members of the Ilorin Emirate Durbar Committee, led by its chairman, Engr. Yahaya Alapansanpa, at his palace. The committee visited to receive royal blessings ahead of the 2024 durbar activities.
Sulu-Gambari praised the partnerships the committee has secured with the people of the emirate, local and state governments, and particularly, multinationals. He assured the committee of his continued support and prayers, noting that they have consistently met his expectations since their inauguration. He encouraged them to maintain their excellent work.
Earlier, Engr. Yahaya Alapansanpa described the emir as a devout leader dedicated to the progress and unity of his people. He expressed gratitude for the emir’s confidence in the committee and vowed to make the 2024 grand durbar even more unique and memorable.
