An elder statesman, Chief Ebenezer Adenike, has praised President Bola Tinubu for implementing people-oriented developmental projects in Kwara State.
Adenike, a former member of the Board of Nigeria Frequency Management Council, raised concerns about the misrepresentation of federal initiatives as achievements of the state administration.
He said: “People hardly know that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing anything for Kwara State. People are being misled into believing that Federal Government projects are solely the accomplishments of the state government.”
The elderstatesman said the President deserved applause for implementation of 130-kilometre Bode Saadu-Kaiama-Kosubosu road, valued at nearly N 300 billion.
Adenike clarified that the Ilorin Smart City projet is also the brainchild of the Federal Government and product if its dedication to the ‘Renewed Hope Housing Estate initiative.
He frowned at the alleged lack of transparency in land acquisition processes, particularly in Ilorin East and South, where residents are unaware of the federal involvement and impending compensation.
