According to a news report from Kwara State Government Facebook Page, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expresses delight at the exceptional performance of students from both public and private schools across Kwara State in the recently conducted Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Governor AbdulRazaq particularly highlights the remarkable achievement of Master Samuel Olanrewaju Oluwasemilore from Government Secondary School, Omu Aran, who scored an impressive 358 in the examination.
Additionally, the Governor extends congratulations to the outstanding 30 students from Kwara-based Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College, who achieved scores ranging between 355 and 300 marks in the UTME. He also commends other high-performing students from various schools in the state for their notable accomplishments.
“We are proud of achievements like this; they serve as shining examples for younger ones to work harder, be at their best in their studies, and make their parents and community proud,” the Governor says.
“We are also excited that these are not isolated successes in our education sector, coming only a few weeks after Kwara State represented Nigeria on the global stage at World School Debate in Singapore, among other feats.
“I assure the good people of this state that we will continue to beat our own record in this critical sector. Our KwaraLEARN programme is yielding impressive results already, and the state executive council has recently approved statewide coverage for the tech-based learning programme.
The next few years will yield awesome learning outcomes, while we are soon launching a first-of-its-kind Kwara State Education Trust Fund to inject more resources and strengthen accountability in the sector.”
