Electronic transactions have gained significant momentum across Kwara Central, Kwara State, and Nigeria as a whole. More than half of the Nigerian population now conduct their transactions electronically, moving away from traditional paper transactions.
In response to this shift, Senator Saliu Mustapha proposed the Electronic Transaction Bill 2023 (SB. 94).
The bill aims to modernize and regulate electronic transactions, ensuring that electronic documents, records, signatures, and transactions are legally valid and enforceable like their paper-based counterparts.
Overall, the Electronic Transaction Bill 2023 seeks to establish a secure, reliable, and legally sound framework for electronic transactions, thereby promoting the growth of the digital economy.
