Community Development Associations (CDAs) are instrumental in driving the growth and development of the Kwara Central Senatorial District, with youth across the district playing leading roles in ensuring this.
This is why on the 13th of November 2023, Senator Saliu Mustapha, representing Kwara Central, convened an innovative retreat to build the leadership capacities of the young community leaders.
The retreat addressed vital topics such as community security, grassroots mobilization, resource management, conflict resolution, and drug abuse prevention, amongst others drawing speakers and facilitators from different walks of life.
Over 104 representatives from community youth organizations gathered at the Michael Imodu Institute of Labour Studies (MIILS) for an enriching three-day event.
