On the request of the Illustrious Joint Community Development Association, an umbrella body representing over 35 communities spanning across Ilorin South and West LGAs, the constituency office of Senator Saliu Mustapha provided critical support for the completion of the long-abandoned multimillion naira 15MVA Stepdown Transformer project located in the Oko-Olowo area of Ilorin, Kwara State.
The successful completion of this project has significantly improved the electricity supply in the affected communities, increasing supply from a mere 5 hours per week to an average of 10 hours per day. This enhancement in power supply has had a profound impact on the socio-economic lives of the residents and indigenes of these areas.
The communities benefiting from this project include Alore, Banni, Oloje, Itamerin, Guniyan, Olomoda, Anifowoshe, Tegbesun, Agbarigidoma, Abayawo, Ogidi, Temidire, Gaa Osibi, Dada, Fomo Babalaje, Iberu Oluwa, Alfa Yahaya, Adeta, Ajetunmobi, Alubarika, Ifedayo, Gaa Oke Idi Emi, Irewunmi, Odo Ire, Ajegunle, Ayekale, Madina, Owode, Irewolede, Abeemi, Ifesowapo (Omo Onile), Ifesowapo (Fomo Babalaje), Okolowo, amongst others.
