The National Executive Council of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE) has awarded the prestigious NICE Fellowship to the Deputy Director of Works at Kwara State University (KWASU), Engr. Nurudeen Idrees, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the engineering profession in the country.
The University of Ilorin and Chapter Chairman of the Ilorin NICE branch, Engr. Sayi Mashood Olorundare, was also honoured with the FNICE award.
Other awardees from the Ilorin branch include Engr. Sanni Olufemi Kolawole, Chairman of Hilltop Insurance Brokers, and Engr. Babatunde Hakeem Kayode of Allview Designs Nig Ltd.
Speaking to HighProfile shortly after receiving the award, Engr. Nurudeen Idrees expressed his gratitude to the National Headquarters for recognising his efforts with the esteemed Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (FNICE) award.
Engr. Idrees, who also serves as an Internal Council member of Kwara State University (KWASU), pledged that this recognition would further motivate him to continue his dedication to the growth and advancement of the engineering profession both in the state and nationwide.
