Ilorin Smart City is a groundbreaking project in Kwara State, Nigeria, aiming to revolutionize urban living through cutting-edge infrastructure, sustainable solutions, and digital services.
Spanning 18,000 hectares, it’s designed to enhance the community’s quality of life, alleviate congestion, and address the challenges of urbanization. The project, estimated at NGN 1.26 trillion, will be funded largely by a private sector consortium. Phase one, costing NGN 630 billion, is set to commence from 2024 to 2027.
The city will feature a business district, industrial parks, healthcare facilities, entertainment zones, and residential areas, all integrated with smart technology to optimize city operations and infrastructure.
