Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi Salihu, a Nigerian engineer and politician, and speaker of the 9th & 10th Kwara State House of Assembly. He represents Ilesha/Gwanara constituency.

Born in Gwanara, Baruten Kwara state. Yakubu Danladi’s early education began at Baruten Local Government Education Authority School, Gwanara from where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1993.
Yakubu Danladi attended Baptist Grammar School, Okuta, and St Anthony Secondary School, Ilorin finishing with a Senior Secondary Certificate Examination in 2001. He proceeded to Kaduna Polytechnic where he received a National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering between 2003 and 2008.
Upon graduation, he worked at the National Water Resources Institute, Kaduna from 2009 to 2010. He was employed by Federal University of Technology, Minna in 2010.
In 2016, Yakubu Danladi earned B.Eng in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Minna.

Hon. Yakubu Danladi Salihu began his journey into politics via student activism where he served as the Secretary, National Union of Baruten Students, Kaduna State Polytechnic Chapter for the 2005/2006 session. In 2007/2008, he contested and won the position of Vice President of the same Union. Consequently, within the same year, he was made the Secretary of the famous National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) of the same institution.
He served as Youth Coordinator for Buhari Campaign Organization under the defunct Congress for Progress Change (CPC, Kwara North Senatorial District) in 2011. He also coordinated Youth activities for Engr. Yinusa Yahaya Campaign Organization under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2015 general election.
He voluntarily resigned from his job at the Federal University of Technology, Minna in 2018 to participate in the APC primary elections in which he got the candidacy ticket.
Elected as the lawmaker representing Ilesha-Gwanara Constituency in the Kwara North senatorial district in the 2019 general election and subsequently emerged Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly. Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi was reelected for the second time in 2023 as a lawmaker and also as the Speaker of the State House of Assembly.
